About Trinity

Most Christians they listened many times about triune God. However, they really don’t know about the meaning of Triune God. World Mission Society Church of God is only place where you can find true and touching answers about meaning of Trinity. It is because second coming Christ who already came to this earth according to the prophecies of the Bible taught us in this age. Among many answers that most people are eagerly want to know about the truth hidden in the Bible, second coming Christ Ahnsahnghong gave us real explanation about Trinity.

God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit are One and the Same God

Today, let’s study about Trinity. Firstly, let’s learn about the relationship between Father Jehovah and Jesus.

Many people say that Jesus is the son of God. However in the New Testament, Jesus is also called a prophet, a servant of God, an angel and God himself. Since the one Jesus is called by many names, with what tittle name should we call Jesus?

The true identity of Jesus can only be known through the records written in the Old Testament before Jesus came.

Isiah 40:3-5 A voice of one calling: “In the wilderness prepare the way the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be raised up, every mountain and hill made low; the rough ground shall become level, the rugged places a plain. And the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all people will see it together. For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

Who was the one who was to call out preparing the way the Lord, Jehovah?

Let’s see who fulfilled this prophecy in the New Testament, 2000 years ago.

Matthew 3:1-3 In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: “A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.’ ”

Who is the one crying out here? Every one knows that was John the Baptist. But for whom did John the Baptist supposed to prepare the way? Only Jehovah.

John 1:29-30 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! This is the one I meant when I said, ‘A man who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.’

Whom did John the Baptist testify to as the One who would come after him? It was Jesus. This means that Jesus is Jehovah himself. God the Father, himself fulfilled many roles as Prophet, Son and even Servant. Then, why did God have to come to this earth?

John 13:15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.

To set examples to us, God gave us many kinds of examples such as Example of Baptism, which day we should to keep Sabbath, date and time of which we should keep true Passover and how we should pray. In the Old Testament time, God commanded us to keep the Sabbath and Passover. However when God is in heaven He did not directly set examples for us like how to observe the Sabbaths and Passover. This is reason why God Himself came to this earth in flesh and set examples for us.

Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.

God Himself came to this earth in flesh to reveal and showed us that we were also angels who came down from heaven. He emphasized much about the importance of observing Passover and Sabbath day.

Luke 4:16 He went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom. He stood up to read,

Matthew 26:17-28 On the first day of the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do you want us to make preparations for you to eat the Passover?” . . . So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them and prepared the Passover. When evening came, Jesus was reclining at the table with the Twelve . . . While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.28This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

When Jesus taught us to pray, He set an example by saying, ‘our Father in Heaven . . .’

God Himself came to this earth and did everything Himself, by setting us example so that we may walk in His footsteps. Therefore we must acknowledge that Jesus is Jehovah.

John 10:30-33 I and the Father are one.” Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, 32but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.”

Because God came as a man, people accused and rejected Him. Then who are they according to the teachings of the Bible?

2 John 7 I say this because many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

Those people are antichrist. So far we can understand that Jehovah and Jesus is the one and same God. Then who does the Holy Spirit refer to?

1 Cor 2:10-11 these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

The Holy Spirit is only God Himself. No one can say the person and his spirit are different beings, but all this two are themselves. Likewise God also has His own Spirit and the Spirit of God is called the Holy Spirit in the Bible.
Therefore God the Father Jehovah, God the Son Jesus and God the Holy Spirit are all the one. One God came as the Son and is to come again as the Holy Spirit to accomplish the administration work for the salvation of mankind. The Holy Spirit that appears in Trinity, specifically refers to second coming Jesus.

Revelation 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

Who are the Spirit and the bride in the above verse?

Revelation 21:9 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb.”

Here is written about the bride who is the wife of the Lamb. Comparing these two verses, the Holy Spirit is the Lamb, Jesus Christ.
Therefore, the Holy Spirit indicates Jesus Christ. Let’s believe in triune God as the one and same God.
